Josean Delgado Carrasquillo began his musical studies at nine years old in Francisco Matías Lugo Elementary School in Carolina with Benjamin Lopez, in the program "Pequeños Gigantes", he also participated in the Programa de Orquesta Sinfónica Juveniles (POSJU).

In 2006, he was accepted at the Escuela Libre de Música "Ernesto Ramos Antonini" in San Juan with Professor Iván Mariani Lopez. In 2011, he was accepted into the program flute performance at Puerto Rico Music Conservatory under the tutelage of Professor Josué Casillas (principal flutist of the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra).

In 2015, Josean participated in The Consummate Flutist at The School of Music at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He also performed in the musical "Man of La Mancha" production Repertory Theatre at the University of Puerto Rico. In the summer of 2016, Josean participated in the international festival "Le Domaine Forget Music and Dance Academy" in Saint-Irénée in Quebéc, Canada, where he took lessons with flutist Susan Hoeppner and Jacinthe Forand, and masterclass with Emmanuel Pahud and Denis Bouriakov. Also, Josean participated in the Nuevo Mundo Festival & Academy in Aruba, where he took lessons with María Gabriela Rodríguez (principal flutist of the Orquesta Sinfónica de Venezuela) and also participated with Aruba Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Jan Wagner.

Josean has participated with the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra at the Gala Zafiro of the Opera of Puerto Rico, Chamber Orchestra of San Juan, Álea 21, Orquesta Sinfónica Juvenil de Puerto Rico , Grand de la Festival Flûte, Orquesta Nuevo Proyecto Sinfónico, among others .

Josean has taken masterclasses and private lessons with Marina Piccinini, Ransom Wilson, Marcos Granados, Alhelí Pimienta, Jonathan Figueroa, Nicole Esposito, Alberto Almarza, and others.
