Paola S. Laboy Torres began her musical studies in the music program of the Colegio Bautista de Caguas with Alexis Trinta, and Meredith Alequín. Later, she took courses in the Escuela Libre de Música Antonio Paoli in Caguas. Her teachers were Rafael Bracero, Carmen M. Aponte, and Saviel Cartagena. In 2011, she had the opportunity to participate in the program of Experiencia Sinfónica with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Puerto Rico (Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra). In 2012, she played soloist with the Banda Avanzada (Advanced Band) of Escuela Libre de Música in Caguas. In the same year, she was admitted in the Conservatorio de Música de Puerto Rico (Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music). In the Conservatory, she has been participating in the Concert Band and the Symphonic Orchestra. For 3 years, she was participating in the Orquesta Nuevo Proyecto Sinfónico (New Symphonic Project), orchestra by bachelor students. Paola has taken master-classes and private lessons with Josué Casillas, Jonathan Figueroa, Ana M. Hernández, Mindy Heinhson, Dr. Sarah Frisof, Marco Grandos, Ahlelí Pimienta, Rubén “Piccolo” López, James Strauss.
